1000 NEW JOBS GIVEN THE GO AHEAD

A Shepway District Council spokesman has confirmed  that conditions  have now been met and contracts have been exchanged for an Immigration Centre at the Shearway Business Park in  Folkestone.

Building work should be completed in 2007.

Nick Marston, a spokesman for SEEDA,  has described the news as a major boost for Folkestone.

"To get employers such as the Home Office to choose Shearway as a base for their staff shows just how popular a location Folkestone is becoming."  he said.
