Failing to respond to public needs

FAILING TO RESPOND TO PUBLIC NEEDS

Dear Ed,

Re; Take the debate to the people.

I agree Sarah. By not attending the meeting at Swingfield or indeed previous meetings regarding the schools closure, she is failing to respond to public needs. It's very gracious of her to give her responses through these web pages, buts lets face it any personal assistant could be writing these.

By not attending the local meetings, and therefore engage in an open and public debate which would require her to listen to peoples concerns, she appears to be saying that our opinion is worth little. I feel this is very sad especially since she is supposed to be representing the public vote.

I appreciate that she has stated she is happy to voice our objections to the closure. How though can we give her this important task when her attitude and opinion appears to treat the matter as futile?

Could it also be troubling for her that her opinion, which has been evident from the beginning, is testimony of her own agenda?

Perhaps we should be grateful that as a community we know where we stand - alone.
