YOUR COMMUNITY WARDEN - TANYA CLARK

Hello, I'm Tanya Clark, your new Community Warden for Hawkinge and I'm here to provide a reassuring, uniformed visible presence within the community. 

Working in partnership with Kent Police, Shepway District Council, Hawkinge Partnership Team and other local authorities and agencies. I will be providing and maintaining  links and act as the ‘eyes and ears’ for the community and agencies. My aim is to bring the community together by working with these agencies to promote social inclusion and community safety throughout Hawkinge.

I am here to support the community in dealing with various issues, from anti-social behaviour, fly-tipping, abandoned vehicles and home security for the elderly and vulnerable residents. I will also be working and helping the primary schools, youth and other local groups. 

If  I am unable to resolve a problem I will offer advice and information of who may be able to help.

I'm presently working with the Partnership team on a Community Safety Day at my base in the Hawkinge Partnership Office. This project aims to reduce crime and the fear of crime, along with other projects in the near future. 

I am also working with PC Trevor Moody on a community football match to be held on  Thursday 27 July to be held at Blenheim Drive Hawkinge. 

My working hours are flexible so that local problems, as and when they occur can be addressed accordingly. 

I am out and about on foot, so if  I am passing please stop me for a formal or informal chat. 

Parents and pupils from Churchill and Hawkinge Primary School can find me outside, either at the beginning or after school on various days. My main point of contact is via my mobile phone, although if I am unavailable please leave a message with your contact details and I’ll get back to you.

I look forward to meeting and working with the residents of Hawkinge and partnerships, creating a safer and stronger community.
