Suddenly Selsted school looks more viable

SUDDENLY SELSTED SCHOOL LOOKS MORE VIABLE

Dear Ed,

I, with many others, am very concerned about the proposal to close Selsted Cof E Primary school.

The parents of children there exercised their right to choose and now may have that choice discarded.

With so many spare places in Kent primary schools, clearly changes have to be made, but the 72 places saved here would be a drop in the ocean. What would be lost is an admittedly small, but very positive, caring school community which deals very effectively with some children who just do not fit into larger schools.

If KCC reviews the figures published which are not up to date, and looks at the possibility of removing the surplus mobile classroom, suddenly Selsted looks more than viable and positively promising.

Please support the campaign to Save Selsted School.

Margaret Baldwin
