COUNCILLOR WEDS

Kent County Councillor and Shepway District Councillor Susan Carey and John Hall were married on Saturday 25 March at Saltwood church.

Susan said that she was especially happy to receive a lovely hand made card from the Churchill school in Haven Drive, Hawkinge.

Guests at the wedding included the former leader of the Conservative party and Folkestone and Hythe MP Michael Howard and his wife Sandra.

Conservative councillor Susan won the Elham Valley seat on Kent County Council with a majority of nearly 4000 votes.

Just five months after her election victory she was promoted to Lead Member for Education by KCC's new leader, Paul Carter
