Folkestone born Martin Sinclair has won silver in the men’s 50m rifle prone pairs competition at the Commonweath Games in Melbourne Australia.

The medal for Sinclair and his partner Neil Stirton helped Scotland move further up the medals table with their first shooting medal of the Games.

Stirton almost missed out because of an eye problem, but shot two perfect rounds of 100 to contribute to the success.

39 year-old Sinclair, born in Folkestone but based in Erskine in Scotland, dedicated his medal to his wife, Lynda, who was part of the 2002 Commonwealth Games shooting team.
