CARRY ON SHEPWAY

According to a recent village poll held on the Hawkinge Gazette website the Tories would receive a mandate to carry on running the district council.

Even with the carry on over the 'off the road' refuse collection lorries the majority of  Hawkinge voters are still  behind  the Tory controlled council and do not want a change in the administration.

The Gazette posed the question: "Should voters look for an alternative party to run Shepway?" and 61% of you voted for them to carry on.

Although there was some controversy when the poll opened over an email sent out by the Shepway Conservative office which urged  supporters to vote on the poll, the result to date still shows a majority of supporters favouring the status quo.

Yes, both main parties have failed the electorate 5.83 % (39) 
No, give them another chance 61.73 % (413) 
I would like to boot them out now! 32.44 % (217)
