Plans for 198 Wimpey homes withdrawn

PLANS FOR 198 WIMPEY HOMES WITHDRAWN

The building of 198 new homes on land adjacent to Aerodrome Road and Barnhurst Lane in Hawkinge will be delayed after the builders withdrew the plans which were to have been placed before Shepway planners this month.

The Gazette understand that there were some alterations which needed to be made but the builders were not able to complete these before the 13 week deadline of submitting the plans.

George Wimpey have decided to withdraw them until they are satisfied with the amendments and will then re-submit them.

Work was due to begin on the site in April with all homes completed by mid 2009.
