Pedestrian killed in Boxing Day collision

The 39-year-old man was killed on Boxing Day evening when he was struck by a red Peugeot 306 while walking along a main road near Dover.

He was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on the A258 Deal Road, near the Swingate Inn, Dover.

Kent Police are investigating the death and have made an appeal for witnesses. 

A 22-year-old male driver, from Canterbury, who had been travelling in the direction of Dover, was spoken to by officers but was not arrested.
