GARDENERS SOCIETY 

Our speaker for the evening Mrs Heather Fooks gave a talk entitled ‘Keeping Gardeners Growing’ she also showed slides of her own garden and that of a disabled friend who though disabled had managed to have his garden adapted to suit his needs which allowed him to continue his hobby of growing flowers etc. Mrs Fooks also brought along a number of gardening tools, some that she had been using for a number of years and some very modern tools which she suggested could be used by both older gardeners and those with aches and pains. 

On Saturday 9th December we held our Christmas social evening which included a quiz (many thanks to Bob and Wendy Bell ) and some delicious food which had been produced by the members of the club. 

We do not have a meeting in January but we will hold our AGM on Wednesday 7th February 2007 at 7.30pm in the village hall.
