Due to the digital ‘era’, our competition entries have increased significantly, both in print and digital images which has resulted in reducing members entries from 2 to 1 per competition, as it was proving a long and difficult task for our judges, who, in many cases, travel a distance to our club. We are pleased that our membership has increased this season . (we at present have approximately 75 members), which, we believe, is also due to the increase in digital workers.

In addition to our weekly meetings, we have a Practical Evening once a month where members can practice with the studio lighting equipment and we always hope the newer members will come along to try their hand at portraiture or table top. We also now have separate monthly evenings for an audio visual workshop.

Our meeting on 30st October was RICHARD WALTON FRPS AFIAP MPAGB, BPE3* "AS I SEE IT" where we were treated to the latest work of this entertaining speaker which proved to be a very good evening. A TRIBUTE TO KAY HOLLIS (a late member of our club) will be shown on 6th November. This evening we visit Australasia & Asia with pictures Kay took on her worldwide travels, and on the 13th November the SLIDE/PROJECTED IMAGE COMPETITION No.2 will be held.

Thursday 9th November will be our Audio Visual Practical Evening and the 11th November the KCPA ROSS CUP COMPETITION will be held at Hustmere School Hurst Road, Sidcup.

Meetings are held at the St. Georges Church, Audley Road,. Folkestone (opposite West Station), every Monday commencing at 7.45pm New members are always welcome and anyone interested in joining, please, ring Jenny Barraclough (Press Officer) 01303 245399 or e mail: jenny-bar@dsl.pipex.com for further information.
