FOLKESTONE CAMERA CLUB

Monday 6th November we had a TRIBUTE TO KAY HOLLIS a past member of our club who traveled extensively during her lifetime. Kay kindly donated her slides to our club in her will (10,000 of them!) and a few if our members kindly sorted them, copied them onto the computer and compiled them into continent sections and set them to music with an added documentary, a terrific task This evening we visited Australasia & Asia and saw some wonderful images, with music to match.

Monday 13th November saw Mr Brian Weatherley from Tovil Camera Clkub, returning to our club to judge the second digital image/slide competition of the season, 

He is a very experienced photographer and judge and he gave us very constructive comments on our entries. The winners (marks out of 20) in each section were:-

As we can see by the entry numbers, slide entries are down by a massive number, and digital entries are increasing so much that we have had to limit entries to one per member, per category, to make life a little easier for our judges ! 

On Thursday 9th November we had our monthly Audio Visual workshop, where members can learn how to put a sequence together. 

On 20th November BEA AUGER DPAGB ANTARTIC ODDYSEY will present stunning images from this least known part of the world, and the Tuesday 21st will be our monthly Practical Evening where members can practice with the Studio Lighting, followed by PRINT COMPETITION NO 2 on 27th November. Members IAN & MARIE LAURE STONE CPAGB will present "WILD ENCOUTERS" Tales & Images from their trip to Tanzania on 4th Dcember.
