LACK OF EVENING POLICING IN HAWKINGE

I recently had a sit down meeting with both PC Moody and Tanya (community officer) to voice disapproval of never seeing a pro-active evening/nighttime visual deterrent. I the same as most had noticed in the 18 months of living here of never seeing either of them during evening hours.

Tanya cannot patrol alone and has to have another warden with her.  PC Moody advised us that as his area is so big he cannot be everywhere! 

He was unaware that there was an issue with tree snapping and various other areas where youths had been congregating o­n the mound opposite the school or around the old village hall which I found hard to believe.

I asked them both to offer a much more pro-active visible deterrent now the evenings are drawing in, so lets see over the next few weeks and if things do not improve we will all need to formulate an official complaint about the lack of any evening policing.
