HAWKINGE AND DISTRICT
GARDENERS SOCIETY

The members and visitors to the monthly meeting of the Hawkinge and District Gardener’s Society enjoyed an interesting and entertaining evening at the beginning of November when local resident Mrs Janine Doulton spoke of ‘ Daffodils and preparing fruit, flowers and vegetables for showing ’.

Janine who is a judge with the Kent Federation of Horticultural Societies chatted with the members and spoke of the various fruits and vegetables which can be grown in the garden, greenhouse or even indoors.

The next meeting will take place on Wednesday 6th December when the speaker will be Mrs Heather Fooka who will give a talk entitled ‘ Keeping Gardeners Growing ’.

Jackie Burvill (Secretary)
