Community Centre rescue money has gone

COMMUNITY CENTRE RESCUE MONEY HAS GONE

The £5,000 donated to the Hawkinge Community Centre to keep them afloat until December has already been spent.

It was announced at  the Hawkinge Parish Council meeting o­n Wednesday (11 October) that they had handed over £4,900 to cover wages and to pay the taxman.

Parish Council Chairman David Callahan said that they were gathering more people together to try to save the ailing building.
