HAWKINGE EMPLOYMENT LAND PUBLIC PRESENTATION THROWN OUT

Hawkinge Parish Council, last night (11 October) decided they will not be holding a public presentation for villagers to have their say on the proposals for the so called employment land at Hawkinge West.

The Hawkinge Gazette asked the Parish Council to hold a presentation of the final draft of the document for villagers to make their comments but even though we have so far had nearly 300 people read the story, the council do not consider it is necessary to hold a public consultation meeting.

The consultative document which sets out proposals for the detailed implementation of the land for employment purposes and the principles for the development of employment land on the site is out for consultation until 26 October.

It is for this reason that we are again publishing a link for you to download the documents, to enable you to make your comments to Shepway District Council before the deadline.
