CASH FOUND AFTER BANDSTAND ATTACK

Dear Ed

It looks like Colin Tearle was right about where the responsibility for the repair to the historic building lay. (letter 'Wrong direction for Bandstand Campaign' )

It could of course been coincidence, but within days of his letter appearing on the Hawkinge Gazette website, the money has now been found.

The Folkestone Herald claim it was their campaign which saved the Bandstand and maybe it was.

But I have a sneaking suspicion that Mr Tearle's letter may have caused embarrassment within the council when they read the1913 Indenture, only to discover that they were infact responsible for the repairs to the Folkestone Bandstand.
