WALKING BUS MAKES BIG STRIDES

Kent MP and Minister of State for Transport, Stephen Ladyman has announced that the Kent Walking Bus Project is now a truly Kent-wide organisation following its latest expansion into Tunbridge Wells.

The Thanet South MP,  made the announcement in front of 70 guests on board the P&O Ferries ship Pride of Kent in Dover this week.

The charity which has gained a foothold in East Kent now serves all of the county. The scheme provides a safe and healthy way for children to get to school, with an added bonus of fewer cars on the 'school run' clogging up roads close to schools.

Project chairman Simon Dolby said: "This will a very exciting moment in the development of the charity."
