CANTERBURY ROAD SWINGFIELD, DOVER

At approx 1230hrs on 01/09/05 the IP was sitting indoors when he heard a car pull up. The IP believed this to be a customer so went outside to greet them. The vehicle they were in is described only as an old red car with a loud exhaust.

The IP states there were 3 males and 3 females in the car, all aged between 30 - 40yrs, all 3 females believed to be wearing shawls, all males were of large build, 2 of which had moustaches and the other he did not see if he had a moustache.

One of the females asked to pay for the goods with a £50 note, the IP stated he would go into his house to see if he had change and the female followed him. Once he got into the house, he and his wife inspected the note and believed it may have been a forgery, decided not to accept it so he told them he had no change and gave it back to the female.

The IP and the female went back to find the other 5 persons already in the car, he could see in the rear of the car, through the back window, Ip saw that they had taken 3 bags of potatoes. One of the males inside the car stated they would be back, the female got into the car and they drove off in the direction of Folkestone.
