DRIVERS RISKING LIVES AT RAIL CROSSINGS

Motorists are continuing to ignore red warning lights at crossings on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway despite the death of a train driver in July and another death last year when miniature trains collided with vehicles.

Police said drivers were still ignoring the signals on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway. Two motorists have driven through red warning lights at the level crossing in Dungeness where the latest victim died.

Engine driver Suzanne Martin was killed at the crossing on 10 July after her miniature train collided with a car.
