LOCAL POLICE TO CRACK DOWN ON DRINK FUELLED CRIME

Folkestone will have high visibility police patrols during August to crack down on drink fuelled crime.

Kent Police are to relaunch Operation Excalibur over the summer holidays to target underage drinking and alcohol-related crime and violence in parts of South East Kent.

Police have said  that incidents involving "nuisance youths" always go up during this period.

Parents are being warned that any under 18s found to be drinking could be escorted home by a police officer.

But it is not aimed solely at youngsters, Operation Excalibur also targets drink-fuelled disorder and vandalism from people of all ages.
