FINKLE THOUGHTS FOR LAMENTING LAZARUS

The descent into decadence of a once decent democracy as demonstrated by the demographical data, during the duration of recent decades, does not demonstrate that the decline is down to the use of the word DECADE.  

I postulate that the period posed for proscription, is rather, recommended for retention in regards that it’s regular renditions retains a word that is rather useful. 

The tenure for ten years holds tenancy in terminology as being a beacon between the passing of the years. Like years, it is both precise and imprecise, but without it there would a lessening in the lexicon and a further falling into that fallow future we all face. 

If such words are wasted, woe upon woe, where will it end? 

The withering of one of the few things we are renowned for, our language! 

We have the only language that is so flexible and friendly, the lingua franca of so many people and professions throughout the world. 

Damn DECADE into the dustbin of history? Then dire decadence will doubtlessly descend, dumbing down democracy as more and more decent words are decimated from the dictionaries, dumb decision. 

Prescribed and proscribed preferences for population’s phraseologies are to be frowned upon.
