LEISUREDROME IDEAS SOUGHT BY COUNCIL

Following the Parish Council decision to withdraw the lease offer for the Spitfire Leisuredrome  they have revealed that it cannot be reviewed for six  months.

Council Chairman Dave Callahan denied their had been any changes in the policy  and said that they have merely stopped negotiating the lease.

He said: "I can categorically state that there are no offers to purchase the land, and  no proposals to sell the Leisuredrome.

"There have been no discussions by the Parish Council and these matters are on no council agendas.

"We will be looking for ideas regarding the use of the building and would like to hear from villagers with their proposals."
