DEVELOPERS £100M PLAN TO CREATE THOUSANDS OF NEW JOBS

A £100million expansion of a business park in Dover could bring thousands of new jobs to the area.

Amec Developments want to expand the White Cliffs Business Park in Whitfield, initially creating 1,800 jobs by the end of next year with 1,200 more jobs to follow if further expansion takes place.

Plans to create space for business units, and a road linking the existing business park with the A2 have also been put foward by the company.

The units would be office, workshop and industrial space, with a dedicated "innovation zone" for start-up and small businesses.

Amec has submitted its planning application to Dover District Council.
