CATTLE TUNNEL TO FREEDOM

A valuable herd of cattle escaped from a field in Dover after vandals damaged fences at the weekend.Dexter cattle (Library picture)

The Dexter herd made their escape using the underpass on the A20 near the Western Heights in the Aycliffe area of the town.

On Wednesday (6 April) two horses were killed after being hit by an articulated lorry when they escaped from a field onto the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Swanley in Kent.
