On 4th April we had a showing of superb slides in memory of and taken by the late Kay Hollis, a long-standing member of our club. Kay had been a keen traveller over many years and had accumulated over 10,000 slides all perfectly catalogued. One of our members, Bob Brisley has had the daunting task of sifting through these slides and has produced two slide shows for us to see, the second will be shown later in the year. On the 11th April we shall have our final slide competition of the season followed by (18th April) our final Print Competition.

We are thrilled that we have now been able to purchase an LCD Projector and Lap Top Computer as the result of a grant from the AWARDS FOR ALL Lottery fund. With the digital technology moving forward so fast, this will enable us to project our digital images/lectures and also send and receive digital cd’s to and from other clubs around the country and indeed the world.

Our meetings are held at the United Reform Community Hall, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone on Mondays at 7.45pm. New members are always welcome, if interested please phone Mrs Jenny Barraclough (Press Officer) 01303 245399, or e mail:jenny-bar@btconnect.com
