Local school's bigheads

LOCAL SCHOOL'S BIGHEADS
The 13 feet high Hawkinge Giant which has been created by
people of all ages from Hawkinge working alongside Strange Cargo Arts Company is
to be officially unveiled at 10.00am on Friday (15 April)
Organisers are hoping that the Awakening Ceremony at the
Hawkinge Community Centre will bring residents out to support the village's
aviator Giant.
School children from three local schools, Selsted, Hawkinge
and the Churchill, will meet on the green in front of the community centre with
each school bearing its own ‘big head’ to greet the giant and walk with him
on his journey around the green.
The procession will be accompanied by the Sandwich band, Brew
Ha Ha.
