COLLISION WITH HGV LEAVES ONE MAN DEAD
A man has died after his car collided with a lorry in Churchill Avenue Folkestone in the early hours of the morning (2 March).
It is reported that the fire crews used hydraulic equipment to cut the victim free, but he died at the scene.
The crash left a diesel spillage from the lorry which took firefighters three hours to clear up.
The driver of the German-registered HGV was uninjured and is in custody while police conduct inquiries into the incident.
Police have have appealed for witnesses.
