POETRY ON A PLATE

Kent County Council libraries in the Dover District and the local poetry group Split the Lark are serving up a poetry competition for all primary school children in the area.

To enter children will have to write a poem about food and decorate a plate. Application plates can be picked up from Dover, Deal, Sandwich or Aylesham Libraries. The competition will be launched on World Book Day, Thursday 3 March and run until Saturday 30 April.

Split the Lark poet June English will judge the entries and invite the best poets to read their work in a special event at Deal Library.
