The wind played its part in what was a well played match by both teams at the Stadium football ground in Cheriton.

With Folkestone SC having the wind in their favour for the first half they soon took the advantage and floated in the first goal after 5 minutes.

But it took the wind out of their sails when the Hawkinge levelled the score from a loose ball bouncing off Tom Welham's legs into the goal. It was Tom again who scored a second just 10 minutes later.

After taking on refreshments and the wind behind them, the second half got under way with Mike Yianni pressing home a third goal within 3 minutes.

As always things got a bit untidy during the latter part of the game but Hawkinge still had plenty of puff left in them to score from a corner with Aidan Ashton being the scorer of the final goal of the match.
