EUJET EMERGENCY AT MANSTON

An EUjet has landed safely at Kent International Airport Manston today (20 February) after developing a fault with the landing gear.

The Fokker 100 which was travelling from Gatwick on a repositioning exercise had seven crew onboard but no passengers.

Roads in the area were closed and thirteen fire appliances from Kent Fire and Rescue were standing by while the aircraft circled East Kent discharging fuel.

The airport had implemented emergency procedures.
