Damage

STELLING MINNIS, CANTERBURY

The IP returned home with friends at approx 1900 hours. As they turned off the main road into their driveway they saw a dark coloured vehicle parked on the driveway. The IP's immediate thought was that this was either friends or relatives that had come to visit, however, this turned out not to be the case. A male was seen to hastily get into the drivers seat of the dark coloured vehicle and reverse back down the driveway at speed and out onto the main road. The vehicle then headed of in the direction of Wheelbarrow Town. The area outside the house was dark and as this is a rural village location there is no street lighting in the vicinity. As the vehicle passed their car they took the vehicle registration number at M508 CGH. As they got out of the vehicle along with the IP they realised that the power cables leading to an external security light were laying a couple of feet off the ground, and upon further and closer inspection found that the light itself had been pulled off the wall, including the screws and wall plugs.
