GRIZZLY PHOTO WINS TOP PRIZE

Folkestone Camera Club member Marie-laure Stone has come top of the class winning a photography competition run by Wanderlust magazine.

Marie-laure  works as a laboratory technician at the Harvey Grammar school. She spends much of her summer holidays travelling and taking photographs.

This has been third time lucky for the Folkestone photographer, twice being a finalist and receiving a Highly Commended  before finally winning the digital category this year.

 The competition  called  "Travel Photographer of the Year", won her the first prize of  a photographic commission to Australia.

Her photograph, of two grizzly bears fighting, taken in British Columbia, Canada was displayed and judged at Earls Court along with the other finalists and was printed in the ‘Independent’ newspaper on the 5th February.
