SIGNS AND LITTER AND THINGS ... Re: Cheap tacky signs lower the area

Dear Ed,

I support Caroline in her dislike for the Lidl signs.  I also support Caroline concerning the trees that are broken off - it doesn't just happen in Petrel Way - it has also happened along the Canterbury Road - outside the shops where I find it difficult to believe that "no one" know how it happened.

This brings me nicely onto the litter problem.

Yes I do deplore the spread of litter, but so do I deplore the attitude toward it that it is always "someone else's" problem.

I noticed a couple of houses in Cricketers Way recently, where there was a large amount of litter on the surrounding borders.  Now who scattered this I do not know, but I do know that it would have been but a few minutes job to clear it up!

Perhaps those occupying the adjacent houses could get out and do the decent thing?

I do believe that this applies to much of the litter that pervades our village.

Regards as ever,

Lazarus
