AN ILL WIND THAT DOES HAWKINGE SOME GOOD

By Cyril Trice

The Hawkinge Saturday side were the only team in action this weekend playing Hythe Prince at home.

On a bitterly cold afternoon Shaun Carey notched up two fine goals for the village side.

But Hythe Prince had their chances to equalise in this game they would like to forget. The visitors missed two penalties, one going wide and the other saved, they really felt those ill winds.

Hawkinge 2, Hythe Prince 0

Scorer Shaun Carey 2

My next report won't be until 8 January 2006 so I would like to take this opportunity to wish all readers a Peaceful Christmas and Happiness in the New Year.
