Attempted Burglary

THE MEADE HAWKINGE, FOLKESTONE

When Ip went to de-activate the alarm using pin-code when they noticed a red light showing on the alarm panel. This usually means the alarm has been set off. Ip could then hear the wind blowing and thought this was unusual as she thought all the windows were shut. Ip followed the noise of the wind and found the smallest kitchen window wide open. Ip recalls having the window open the day before and thinks maybe they did not secure it properly the night before. After going through the house realised no one had gained access. Nothing had been disturbed. Ip then went into the garden and found plastic plant trough had been taken off its stand which had been under the kitchen window so it looks as if the offender was attempting to gain access by standing on the planter stand and set off the alarm.
