INVICTA BOSS QUIETLY CONFIDENT

Folkestone Invicta manager Neil Cugley could hardly believe his luck when he landed an FA Cup first-round tie at Chester City.

It meant the Invicta manager would be able to renew his association with the club he used to watch almost a quarter of a century ago.

Neil may be Folkestone born and bred but his parents came from the Chester area and many of his relations still live in Deeside.

Although Cugley has never seen a match at the Saunders Honda Stadium, he remembers watching games at Chester's old Sealand Road ground when he visited his relatives.

Invicta, who moved into the now-defunct Folkestone FC's Cheriton Road ground in 1991, have reached the first round proper of the FA Cup for the first time in their 74-year history.

The Chester side have suffered a drop in form of late and Cugley is said to be quietly confident of tomorrow's encounter.

Asked if his team of part-timers could spring a shock tomorrow Cugley is reported to have said: "Yeah, there's no pressure on us, the pressure comes on Chester".
