PRAISE FOR CHANNEL SCHOOL

Michael Howard MP presenting prizes at the Channel School Awards Evening

Folkestone and Hythe MP Michael Howard praised all the people who helped to turn around the Channel School in a speech at the Awards Evening on Friday (11 November).

The event, which was held at the school, saw over 100 awards presented to pupils. They represented every aspect of the life of the school and were drawn from all levels of ability.

Awards were presented for academic, sporting, attendance, effort and for special effort outside school.

Mr Howard used the event to â€œpay public tribute to all the people who have played a part in turning round the schoolâ€?. He in particular praised the leadership of the head teacher, Mrs C Singleton.
