HAWKINGE HOME AND AWAY WINNERS

With the Hawkinge U15 youth team having a rest this week it was down to the two senior teams to produce the goods, and they did just that.

The Saturday team playing away in a league match at Woodchurch started badly and were 2 - 0 down at half time.

But in the second half the village side quickly brought the scores level and a goal from the penalty spot gave the Hawkinge side a well deserved three points.

The Sunday team were playing away yet played at home as their opponents Magpies chose to play their home match o­n the villager's ground.

Magpies opened the scoring but it was all change as the game progressed. Hawkinge soon took control of the game and levelled the score before going ahead and taking a two goal lead.

Both sides scored another goal apiece giving the village team a 4 -2 away win o­n their home turf.
