FURTHER WARNING OF IDENTITY THEFT

Neighbourhood Watch are warning residents of the danger of identity fraud following another incident of a person rifling through rubbish put out for landfill collection.

This latest incident took place in Longfield Road, Dover this week.

They ask that if you should see anyone rifling through yours or your neighbour's rubbish please would you report the incident to the Police on the usual number - 01303 250055.

Neighbourhood Watch stated : "This is theft. Until the moment that the rubbish is collected it is the householders property.

"Please remember to be extremely careful what paperwork you put out in the rubbish. Make certain there is nothing that identifies you or your address and that no banking details are ever put out - please shred!"
