YOU CANNOT MAKE MILL LANE ONE-WAY

Dear Ed,

Your poll on traffic calming measures re: making The Street and Mill Lane a one way system.

I totally disagree to this proposal. I am a resident in Mill Lane, and as such witness much of the traffic that uses the lane.

If the Lane were to be made into a one-way system, this would only serve to give many drivers more reason to drive even faster than they already do, in the certain knowledge that no other traffic will impede their progress. Many will disregard the speed limit and use the Lane as a speedy by-pass.
