WHAT A HOOT! 

Dear Ed,

An undeniable fact - you can always rely on Lib Dem Peter Carroll for the biggest laugh of the day! Well, this is so, unless you suffer from memory loss.

I am not afflicted with this problem, so I have to say: "Oh dear PC, how can you say never before has a council let so many people down?"

So PC do not make the mistake of arrogantly assuming Shepway residents are stupid, or too slow to recognise your opportunism here I remember your little lot quarrelling, breaking up into splinter groups, and even, unbelievably managing to top that by walking out of the job they were elected to do.

In case you are too busy to notice, your little lot are still walking out.

I admire the group of Conservatives who had the courage and the guts to pick up the mess your group left and commence working to put things right.

They have made great efforts with the recycling, a huge and difficult system to get on track, but they have set to. No one in their right mind would expect a new venture of this complexity and magnitude to be perfect so soon. I am pleased, the Conservative group at least, take health and safety seriously. I am shocked to learn you do not, removing suspect vehicles is to be applauded, showing as it does concern for the workforce involved, and also for the general public!

I say thanks for the present group who show courage to take difficult decisions, and are getting on with the job of improving Shepway! They are not standing on the sidelines whimpering and moaning.
