MAIN OBJECTIVE ACHIEVED

I was accompanied by the Hawkinge Civic Society Vice Chair, Peter Sellars and Secretary, Alan Barnes at Wednesday's Hawkinge Parish Council (HPC) meeting. 

We were all exceptionally pleased with the way things went. The main objective was achieved and that was to ask that the HPC send a councillor to speak at the Development Control Committee meeting. (Date of which to be confirmed). 

As I understand, all those that have written to Shepway District Council Planning regarding the proposal will be informed if and when any committee hearing will be. 

The level of attendance at the HPC meeting spoke volumes. This matter is obviously one that many people care a lot about and all of our voices should be heard.
