18/12/04

Between 0001hrs 13/12/04 & 2359hrs 18/12/04

Damage

FERNFIELD HAWKINGE, FOLKESTONE
 

Informant states that he last saw that all was ok with his green house 13/12/04. Today 18/12/04 he has discovered that a pane of glass in the greenhouse has been smashed. Informant has found a football in the garden, which was punctured. Informant stated that he believed this damage to be caused purposely not by an accident. There are also stones in the Informants garden and cutlery has been thrown o­nto the roof of the greenhouse.

Interference with Motor vehicle

THE STREET NEWINGTON, FOLKESTONE
 

IP left her vehicle locked and secure in the road outside of her home address. Offenders have smashed the side window and entry gained. Stone/brick left at scene. Offenders have ripped out the interior light. A vehicle came up the road with his headlights o­n and the offenders made off.

Ip's neighbour then alerted the Ip. o­nly descriptions of offenders were "youths".

Robbery

CANTERBURY ROAD LYMINGE, FOLKESTONE


The premises are a village store selling household items. Today at 1300 hours the owner, went upstairs for lunch, leaving his wife to mind the shop. She was filling up a display of nuts, which is in the aisle opposite the till. Two males (the offenders) came into the shop; there were no other persons in the shop at this time. Offender 1 with the hammer, walked straight towards IP whilst offender 2 walked directly behind the counter towards the till. Offender 1 held his right hand up and it was clear he was holding a hammer, he was waving it at her, he told her to "move away, move away, go back" she retreated to the doorway which leads to the living accommodation. She noticed that this offender was not wearing any gloves. She also stated that the hammer was not the usual type. The IP was shouting for her husband to come downstairs, offender 1 picked up a metal stand, which the IP was repleshing when the offenders came in and swung at the till in an attempt to open it. He hit everything off of the counter, all items ended up o­n the floor. The till hit the floor and popped open. Offender 2 then rifled through the till taking the notes, the coins ended up o­n the floor. Denominations were 2x £5 not and the rest in £10's and £20's. Total amount was just under £400.00. When the two had got the money they left, as exit through the shop door o­nto the road. They ran off into the lane opposite the shop, this lane is unnamed but is the main road for Kimberly Terrace. The IP's husband came downstairs after hearing his wife's shouts and hearing the commotion. He saw the two offenders running across the road.

Between 1950hrs 2000hrs 16/12/04

Burglary

SWAN GREEN SELLINDGE, ASHFORD
 

At approximately 1950 hours the IP was sitting in her lounge watching TV in the dark and was o­n her own.  She went into the kitchen to fill up her hot water bottle and saw the bedroom door closed and the light o­n in the bedroom.  She went in to the bedroom as she thought she must have left the light o­n and saw a male - dressed in dark clothes, wearing a woolly hat; about 5ft 7 normal build making an exit through the bedroom window to the rear of her property.  He never spoke and she did not say anything to him.

The offender, namely the bedside drawers and the wardrobe, carried out an untidy search of the bedroom.  There was a number of items taken from the bedroom, listed above and including a Lloyd’s chequebook and payment card.

On inspecting the rear bedroom window it was found there was a series of instrument marks to the frame of the window and a catch was broken.

A couple of items which the IP stated had been taken, namely two black briefcases and a brown wallet were found by police officer under her bed, however, the money contained in these items had been taken.

Burglary


SWAN GREEN SELLINDGE, ASHFORD


Ip is aged 85. Ip put into her purse £300 at approx 0700 yesterday morning, other cash already in her purse was about £50-£100, she then put the purse o­n the side unit in the kitchen together with her pension book and cheque book. (These were not taken)

Ip then went to her purse again at 2350 16th and realised that all the cash had gone. Informant and her husband realised that the back bedroom window in the spare room had been forced from the outside, damaging the frame, there is secondary double-glazing here and it is not clear if this could of been moved aside for the offender to enter the bedroom.

Between 1800hrs 16/12/04 & 0830hrs 17/12/04

Interference with Motor Vehicle

BARROW HILL A20 SELLINDGE, ASHFORD


IP reporting attacks o­n both her & her husband's vehicle. o­nly o­ne report required as husband & wife. Entry gained to Ip’s 's vehicle, which was insecure. Ip states had left it insecure as for the last week the alarm has been playing up o­n it. No sign of a search inside her vehicle & nothing stolen. Plastic cowling pulled off & wires pulled out of ignition. Vehicle has an immobiliser so Offender(s) unable to steal it. Husbands vehicle had both front door locks damaged but not thought that entry was actually gained to the vehicle. No sign of a search inside his vehicle, nothing stolen & no other damage caused.


15/12/04

Between 0208hrs & 0218hrs 15/12/04

Burglary Other

HIGH STREET DYMCHURCH, ROMNEY MARSH


Informant reported this incident. She phoned the IP and also Police she told the IP that she had heard a loud bang opened her window, which looks out o­nto the High Street, looked out but saw no o­ne and did not hear any vehicles leaving the area. Unknown offender(s) using an unknown implement have attacked the wooden front door around the Yale lock and also the area around the main lock and handle.The main front of the premises is glass 10ft by 6 ft and has also been smashed. No entry has been gained.

Between 0930hrs & 1120hrs 15/12/04

Theft

ORGARSWICK AVENUE DYMCHURCH, ROMNEY MARSH


IP states that she put her handbag in the kitchen as usual - it was o­n a worktop in the middle of the kitchen, and other bags belonging to playgroup workers were o­n a trolley nearby. The kitchen is opposite the front door of the playgroup and immediately obvious if anyone should walk into the hall. At sometime between 10:00 and 11:00 two males came into the kitchen - IP did not see them clearly but stated that they were middle-aged - between 35 and 45 - smartly dressed and between 5'10 and 6'.  They asked o­ne of the French group about the playgroup, and were referred to the playgroup supervisor. She spoke to them and gave them a leaflet, which contained her mobile phone number.


At about 11:20 supervisor  received a call o­n her mobile asking for Ip - she passed the phone to her, and an authorative voice stated that he was speaking from the Nationwide head of security  - he said that they had noticed unusual usage o­n the card, and was she still in possession of it. IP went and looked in her bag and found that her purse missing - she panicked and was extremely upset. The male o­n the phone said that he needed to ask her some security questions and in her distressed state she gave him her date of birth and the pin numbers to both her husbands and her own Nationwide cards. The male said that he would get in touch with her within three minutes but no other call came.

IP states that u/k persons have stolen his tax disc complete with holder whilst the vehicle was parked overnight

Burglary

CANTERBURY ROAD DENSOLE, FOLKESTONE


The Ip has been away for the night and had just got home to find the bathroom window at the rear of the house has been levered open and offenders have gained entry.  The offenders have opened every drawn in the house and opened the Christmas presents which were in the wardrobe in the rear bedroom, some have been stolen.  The Ip is not certain what has gone yet or if there is any damage to the house.

SHED CANTERBURY ROAD HAWKINGE,

 
Informant states that o­n arrival at the school today he has found that the PE shed has been broken into. Entry gained after door of the shed was forced at the top, causing damage. Footballs & skipping ropes have been pulled out of the shed & thrown around but Informant does not know if any property is missing.

Theft from Motor Vehicle
 

CAR PARK LYMPNE CASTLE THE STREET LYMPNE, HYTHE

 
Informant states that the vehicle was parked and left secure at approx 19:15 in the car park at Lympne castle. When Informant returned to his vehicle at approx 00:05 24/12/04 he found that the nearside passenger window had been smashed entry has been gained Sony stereo player has been taken and there are wires exposed.

Damage

HIGH STREET DYMCHURCH, ROMNEY MARSH
 

Ip is the owner of the premises. IP states that a man that lives above the premises in a flat that the window had been smashed by means and method unknown notified him in the street. IP attended the premises and confirms that the damage has been caused to the window. IP states that entry has not been gained to the premises and no other damage has been caused

Burglary Other

INTEGRAL GARAGE SEAVIEW HEIGHTS DYMCHURCH, ROMNEY MARSH
 

IP has been in out over the Christmas period and during the stated times offender(s) have entered the integral garage by what appears to be a universal key and stolen a set of skis and accessories. Informant using his own key left the garage secure. There is no damage to the lock of the garage.
