CAT DIES AFTER GUN ATTACK

Local Police are warning pet owners of the dangers of air guns after a cat was shot and had to be put down.

The fluffy grey and white family cat, was shot in Sir John Moore Avenue, Hythe (11 December).

The cat called Sweep was found by his owner under a car. He had been hit by three pellets.

Police warned that though ownership of air weapons is not illegal, there are stringent restrictions to their use.
