ALL SET FOR BIG DAY

Three hundred mince pies and the same number of song sheets are ready for Sunday's  free annual Hawkinge Carol Concert  at the Community Centre. (5th December)

With the much improved accoustics of the new hall, the problems of last year's event will be a thing of the past.

The Hythe Town Band are providing the music with special performances by children from the Churchill and Hawkinge schools.

Parish Council Chairman Dave Callahan has invited Peter Smith in his capacity of Shepway Council Chairman to attend.

Parish Councillor John Heasman who organises the annual event hopes that villagers support the concert and many Parish Councillors will attend.

The first carol kicks off at 2.30pm, so be sure to get there in plenty of time to be certain of one of the 300 seats.
