'STABBING INCIDENT' LEAVES WOMAN DEAD

Police were called to the Northgate area of Canterbury in the early hours of this morning (18 December) to deal with what they reported to be a 'stabbing incident' in which a 24 year old woman died and three men are in hospital.

Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Christmas shoppers arriving in the city this morning found major roads, including Military Road cordoned off while forensic inquiries continued.

Some roads were closed but have since reopened although some footpaths remain shut.
